Cox Announces Job Fairs for Veterans
Rep. Jim Cox (R-Berks) is reminding local veterans about job fairs being held this spring that could be helpful for those seeking employment.
“Now more than ever, it is important to make use of every available tool to effectively market oneself to potential employers,” Cox said. “Career fairs can be instrumental in obtaining gainful employment, especially for our nation’s veterans.”
There will be two career fairs specifically geared toward veterans during the spring months. Details are as follows:
The RecruitMilitary Career Fair is a free hiring event for veterans who already have civilian work experience, active duty personnel transitioning to civilian life, members of the National Guard and reserves as well as military spouses. The event will be held on Thursday, March 12, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Citizens Bank Park, in Philadelphia. Interested individuals are encouraged to visit to register.
Veterans’ Career Job Fair, which is sponsored by the Pennsylvania CareerLink, will be held on Thursday, April 9, from 2 p.m.-7 p.m. The event will be held in Harrisburg at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex & Expo Center.
